Digital Roads
Digital Roads is an innovative National Highways project aiming to revolutionise the UK transport infrastructure by integrating technology, data and connectivity.
Charles Endirect is proud to be involved with this exciting initiative, supplying key products to the A5 project, Area 9. Part of this project is the installation of LED lighting, offering energy efficiency, durability and longevity. A key requirement of LED lighting is the control system. Charles Endirect has the perfect solution, the CELtek Control Management System (CMS).
We are proud to be part of the long term, national rollout of Digital Roads. As well as supplying the CELtek CMS, we are also providing feeder pillars and isolators for this scheme. We look forward to helping bring this project to life!

An important part of smart city development is the installation of Electric Vehicle charging points. EV sales in the UK reached record levels in September 2025, rising by almost a third compared to the previous year. As of the end of October 2025, there were over 1.7 million fully electric cars and 2.69 million plug-in vehicles in the UK. (Zapmap) The demand for EV charging points is growing fast!
Charles Endirect offers pre-wired EV feeder pillars for smart EV charging. We are especially pleased with our own installations at our Wincanton site.
