At Charles Endirect, we have always believed that people are at the heart of our success. Today, we share news that brings both pride and a touch of sadness as we announce the upcoming retirement of our Sales & Marketing Director, Andy Jackson.
Thank you, Andy.
Andy has been an integral part of our journey for the past thirteen years. As a key member of the Board and a driving force behind our sales strategy, he has had a huge impact on Charles Endirect. During his tenure, Andy has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth.
His leadership has also been instrumental in expanding and refining our product portfolio. Andy has championed developments across several key areas, including Central Management System, Belisha Beacons and pre-wired pillars. He has ensured that we continue to meet our customers’ evolving needs.
Beyond his contributions internally, Andy is widely known and highly respected across the industry. His ability to build lasting relationships and represent Charles Endirect at the highest level with both customers and suppliers has been invaluable.
On behalf of everyone at Charles Endirect, we extend our sincere thanks to Andy for his dedication, leadership, and lasting legacy. We wish him all the very best for a well-earned and fulfilling retirement.
As we send our best wishes to Andy, we warmly welcome Nathan French to Charles Endirect. He has an impressive pedigree within the lighting industry spanning almost 30 years. Nathan is well known across the sector having spoken at many National and Regional events and is a two-time past Chair for the London Region of the Institution of Lighting Professionals.

Welcome, Nathan
‘I’m excited to be joining Charles Endirect,’ says Nathan. ‘The company’s reputation as a UK engineering business targeting innovation and quality, along with its strong people-focused principles makes this an organisation I’m keen to be part of. There are many changes impacting the street/highways lighting and EV sectors at the moment, from intelligent lighting systems to energy-efficient power distribution, all while remaining mindful of minimising environmental impact. Charles Endirect has both the capability and ambition to be at the forefront of creating and realising solutions.
As well as getting to know the people and products at Charles Endirect, Nathan is also busy preparing for this year’s London Marathon! ‘I am lucky to have secured a last-minute charity place at this year’s event on 26 April,’ explains Nathan. ‘Last year, I ran my first marathon. The first half went well… the second half was mostly walking after my knees gave up! This year, despite a much shorter training window, I hope to fulfil my personal ambition of running the whole route.
‘I’m participating for the National Autistic Society. This charity does incredible work supporting autistic people across the UK, providing advice, resources and advocacy that make a real difference.’
Andy and Nathan are working together until the end of April to ensure a seamless handover. We wish you both every happiness in your new directions.
